Urban Roots noticed a problem that has been in the media spotlight recently: plastic pollution -- both from great plastic islands in the middle of the ocean, to 381 million tons of plastic waste being produced in just one year. In the midst of all this terrible news, we were not seeing solutions. Our solution is two-fold: 1) creating vertical gardening structures to promote environmental awareness, while creating an easier way to garden, and 2) delivering these in reusable bags that our customers can use to cut down on their plastic waste production. Our vertical gardens are plastic free, low-maintenance, and perfect for those without time, space, or knowledge on gardening.
