FAQ's
-
I don’t have a green thumb… is this product for me?This product is perfect for anyone looking for a houseplant that does not require anything, other than to simply be watered every week by spraying your plant near the base of where it grows. Succulents thrive in this low moisture environment. If they are over- watered they will develop root rot.
-
What plants do you offer? We offer Sempervivum, also known as Hens and Chicks, a common type of succulent. They prefer to be at room temperature (72 F), which makes them the perfect houseplant. If you wish to just purchase a box, and choose your own plants, we will give you $5 off your order.
-
How do I receive this product? We hand-deliver to the Oregon, Mt. Morris, and Chana area at no cost. For a $5 additional fee we deliver to Byron, Grand Detour, Stillman Valley, and Polo area. If you live outside of these areas, don’t worry, we can set up a meeting place and time in Oregon.
-
Is this messy? Our vertical gardens are a mess free, because they live in a moss base, rather than a soil base. The Supervium succulents grow well in sphagnum moss because the moss absorbs the water and pushes it to the plants, and dries out quickly. This allows the garden to hang vertically on the wall, and not spill.
-
What is the price range? We like to keep it simple! As a result, every product costs $65 dollars. If you choose to grow your own plants, instead of our succulents you will receive $5 off. You may have a delivery or shipping fee depending on where you live. Our product includes the frame, succulents, moss, a 6-month box warranty, an informational pamphlet, and a free reusable bag.
-
How can I keep my plants healthy? All you have to do is make sure the moss and succulents are getting the necessary amount of water, and not being overwatered. Sempervivum succulents do occasionally bloom flowers, and when the flowers die, they simply need to be removed. If you would like some help with your plants, feel free to reach out to us.
-
How do I install it?On each box we place a sawtooth bar in the middle of the shadow boxes’ piece of wood. All you must do is put a nail in the wall, which we will provide with your box. If you plan on hanging this on drywall, you must purchase a drywall anchor to hang safely. With this, you can hang the box on the nail, and it will lay flush against your wall. It will keep the box stable on your wall, and keep it from falling.
-
How do my plants live indoors? The Sempervivum succulents are a very popular and common houseplant. They just need proper water, and if possible sunlight. They thrive best with sunlight, but it is not necessary. If you have any issues or questions about your plant health, please contact us.
-
Does the wood get moldy/go bad?All of our gardens have a protective and sealing layer on the inside of the wooden frames to prevent them from molding or rotting. However, in the unlikely event that the frame goes bad, please contact us. Our frames have a 1 year warranty and we will repair and replace any frames for free in the first year.
-
How can I hang my garden? All of our gardens are made with a sawtooth bar for a nail already in the back. Although this way is most encouraged, there is no “right way” to hang our gardens. However, if you have dry wall, do not use a nail. You must use a drywall hook.
